Hamakua Residency
A commitment to living in right relationship.

Residency in Right Relationship is an invitation to live more deliberately—with the land, with community, and with yourself. This is not a retreat from life, but a season of participation: contributing to the daily rhythm of Hamakua Sanctuary while deepening your own path in reverence, reciprocity, and belonging.

The Daily Rhythm
Life at Hamakua Sanctuary moves in rhythm rather than rush. Mornings begin in presence. Days are shaped by care for the land, shared responsibility, and meaningful work. Afternoons allow space for personal practice, creative expression, or rest. Evenings return us to reflection and community.
Over time, this rhythm begins to steady something within. Clarity replaces noise. Energy becomes more intentional. You start to feel what it is like to live in alignment—supported by structure, strengthened by contribution, and rooted in relationship.
Participation & Belonging
While everyone shares in the daily rhythm of the sanctuary, residents tend to participate in two complementary ways. Some arrive ready to contribute their skills and energy directly to the land and the growth of the sanctuary. Others come seeking a structured environment to focus on their own personal work, reflection, or creative path.
Both are welcome here. What matters most is a genuine willingness to participate, contribute to the shared life of the community, and live in right relationship with the land.
